Rostock Witnesses Five Car Thefts in Single Night

Rostock has recently been shaken by a series of car thefts, with five vehicles reported stolen in a single night on June 18, 2025. The total estimated damage caused by these thefts is approximately EUR90,000, prompting an investigation by the Rostock Criminal Police.

The incidents began with a Mercedes ML 320, which was taken from a parking lot on Eutiner Straße. The owner discovered the theft around 11:15 AM, having parked the vehicle there two days earlier, on June 16.

A Mazda CX-5 was also reported stolen from a Park and Ride facility located on Nobelstraße. The vehicle was parked in the morning, and the owner realized it was missing around 12:30 PM.

Another theft involved a Hyundai Santa Fe, which was parked at 7:00 AM in Roald-Amundsen-Straße. Later in the evening, around 6:20 PM, a Kia Stinger was reported missing from Möllner Straße, which had been parked there the previous day at 5:00 PM.

Shortly after, at 6:30 PM, another Mazda CX-5 was reported stolen from Flensburger Straße, further raising concerns about a potential pattern in these thefts.

The police are currently investigating the possibility that these cases may be interconnected and are urging the public to assist in their inquiries.
